Richard Childress Penalty (Kansas 2011)
So surely you've heard about Richard Childress's anger issues and how Kyle Busch got beat up by a senior citizen (a.k.a. Richard Childress) What happened? During the truck race Kyle Busch, racing in the Dollar General Toyota was racing Joey Coulter for about 20 laps for a position. In the end Coulter got the position. In return on the cool down lap Busch gave Coulter a tap on the door as a "congratulatory bump" as he calls it. Honestly, it didn't look like it.
I'm not a Busch fan or a fan of RCR in any way, shape, or form. Honestly, RCR is on my nerves. Maybe it's just racing, or maybe they really are big... whaddya call it? Bullies? Maybe that's not the exact word, but that's what comes to my mind first. Jeff Burton fought with Jeff Gordon at Texas last year. Kevin Harvick attempted to fight with Kyle Busch at Darlington earlier this year. RCR has a fighting history, in case thats not obvious.
Did Childress deserve the fine? Does Kyle Busch deserve a fine? These are all good questions. Childress beat up Busch and Busch refused to beat back. In my opinion, yeah, Childress deserved a punishment. BUT, I don't agree with the penalty. Money is really nothing to them. They're all rich, it doesn't matter. Did you hear about the fans who sent donations to pay it off? I mean, come on. He admitted it was his fault. Let the man take his own punishment. What about owner points? Taking his owner points would hurt. That way it wouldn't punish the drivers, and its still points.
Tell me what you think. I'm open to opinions and I want to know what the rest of the fans are thinking.
